I don't know. I hope not; it's better to have another unknown Dark Star (and completely unknown show) to look forward to.

I guess playing-wise this show is about on the same level as 11/8 and 12/20/69. This was an uneven period for the Dead, with generally very laid-back playing. (In the last week of December they start getting noticeably more energetic.) But the 11/8/69 second set, and the Alligator>Caution here, are two of my favorite sets from late '69.

12/30/69 is the only other show I could find where they played both Dark Star and Other One in this period, unless there is one completely absent from Deadbase.

I agree, that Caution from 12/12 might be the one from 69 that I pull out the most often. Well maybe tied with 2/11. Not that I don't love 11/8 and 2/28...among others... 12/30 is a show I hadn't considered before, but would love an upgrade of. There is missing material, and there could be an upgrade in there, but I'd assume the cuts probably still make it unreleasable in their eyes. This is a tough release, because I like the show, but Lemieux really hyped up all this unheard stuff from all those returned reels, then drops the one show from the Thelma run that is probably the most complete and best quality of the run of what we already have. It feels like kindof a letdown when you look at it in those terms.
